Nitrate pollution, an issue that needs to be addressed

A significant portion of nitrogen added in the form of nitrates and nitrites is immobilized due to the action of other microorganisms present in the substrate, through association with soil particles or leaching. Excessive nitrogen pollution affects fields and water, causing particularly severe problems in certain production areas.

Biofertilizers – by preventing leaching, among others – are respectful and valuable tools for compliance with the Agriculture Discharge Order, the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA), and the premises set forth in water code section 10750 of California.

Bulhnova and Komens, state-of-the-art biofertilizers

Although there are many bacteria capable of acting as biofertilizers, agrobiotechnological products like Komens and Bulhnova from Probelte have more than a decade of development and selection of the best strains and technology behind them to maximize their efficiency. Two strains of the species Pantoea dispersa and Azospirillum brasilense have been identified and isolated through biotechnology to provide the best results in the field:
